An estimated 70 million people in Uttar Pradesh and 80 million people in Bihar speak Bhojpuri as their first or second language. Bhojpuri dialects and varieties are also spoken in various parts of the world. For instance, there are 6 million Bhojpuri-speaking people living outside the Bhojpuri heartlands of Bihar and Purvanchal. These areas include Nepal, Mauritius, Fiji, Surinam, Guyana, Uganda, Singapore, Trinidad & Tobago, Great Britain, and the United States. This brings the total Bhojpuri-speaking population in the world close to 150 million.

KALAIGNAR TV (TAMIL GEC)
  Kalaignar TV is a new General Entertainment Channel launched in September 2007, and is already the strongest challenger to the leader in the region, Sun TV. We have exclusive rights for ad sales and marketing for two prime time programs on this channel at 8pm. Riding on the successful performance of these slots, we expect to be given a larger presence for ad sales representation on this channel.
